Celebrate National Library Week by participating in our special scavenger hunt! Come anytime during the week from April 11th to the 16th. Turn in your scavenger hunt to enter into a prize drawing!

Zoo Lovers Make and Take

April 8th is Zoo Lovers Day! Come to the library to make a craft inspired by this national holiday.

Board Game Bonanza
April 8th and May 13th
All Ages.

Are you a fan of classic games like Monopoly or Clue? Or maybe you want to try a new game like Ticket to Ride with your friends? This program is for you! Play a featured game or try one of our many library games. Want to play one of your games? Bring it along and teach some new friends!

Paws for Reading
April 8th & 9th
All Ages
3:30-4:30 p.m.; No Registration Required
Bring young or reluctant readers to read to dogs, specially trained by The Alliance of Therapy Pets. Children are more comfortable reading to a pet who never makes fun of them, never corrects them, and always enjoys their time together.

Nixa Racing to Early Literacy Fair

Get a FREE BOOK for your family and learn about all the fun ways you can encourage early literacy in your 0-5 year old during this interactive, come-and-go event with the Christian County Library. You and your child will participate in activities to help you learn about each of the five "Roads to Reading" and establish some easy and fun ways to bring these into your day-to-day interactions. This event is funded by a grant from the Library Services and Technology Act, appropriated by Congress and adminstered by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Missouri Secretary of State.
